What is the difference between the consulate visa and the Vietnam eVisa?
A consulate visa is a physical stamp placed into your passport by the Vietnamese consulate in Los Angeles. The eVisa is an electronic authorization tied to your passport number — no stamp, no courier, delivered by email. The eVisa is available for stays of 1, 3, or 6 months or 1 year in single or multiple entry. For most leisure travelers the eVisa is faster and simpler. If your entry type is not covered by the eVisa, a consulate visa is the right route.
My child is traveling with me. What extra documents are needed?
Children under 18 need their birth certificate, copies of both parents' passports or driver's licenses, and a notarized parental consent letter if the child is not traveling with both parents. Bring these to our counter and we will verify the full package before anything is submitted to the consulate.
