Taiwan – Passport and Visa Required
Visa Requirements for U.S. Citizens (Consular Jurisdiction Service Area: Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Washington DC)
- U.S. citizens do not require a visa to enter Taiwan for tourist or business purposes for a maximum stay of 90 days (no extension permitted).
- U.S. Passport must have at least six months remaining validity and the traveler must hold a confirmed ticket (and valid visa, if applicable) to the next destination country and must have no record of a law violation.
- For over 90 days’ stay, a visa is required.
TOURIST VISA
- Valid and signed U. S. Passport (valid at least 6 months beyond the date of entry; with at least one blank visa page) – photocopy is not acceptable
- One Visa Application Form completed online
- Two Passport Type Photographs
- Computer generated flight itinerary from the travel agent or copy of roundtrip airline ticket
- Letter explaining purpose of trip and plans for the stay in Taiwan
- Copy of your Hotel Confirmation is required
- A copy of the applicant’s recent bank statement or evidence of adequate finance, such as a letter from a bank, or money market statement. It is advisable to erase account numbers.
- Passport Service order form
BUSINESS VISA
- Valid and signed U. S. Passport (valid at least 6 months beyond the date of entry; with at least one blank visa page) – photocopy is not acceptable
