Niger – Passport and Visa Required

Visa Requirements for U.S. Citizens

Valid and signed U. S. Passport (valid at least 6 months beyond the date of entry; with at least one blank visa page) – photocopy is not acceptable
One Visa Application Form completed and signed. The application form must have original signature.
One Passport Type Photograph
Proof of Accommodation (hotel confirmation or a signed letter from the host in Niger stating the nature of accommodation).
NOTE: If you submit signed letter from the host in Niger, please submit one of the following: copy of the National ID (if the invitor is a Niger citizen) OR copy of the passport and re-residence visa (applicable if the invitor is NON-Niger citizen).
Computer generated flight itinerary from the travel agent or copy of roundtrip airline ticket
World Health Certificate required showing valid vaccinations against Yellow Fever (ORIGINAL Card)
For minor applicants (under 21 years old) – submit the following additional documents: A) copy of the child’s birth certificate showing the parents name, B) a signed the letter of authorization from the parents is only needed if one parent is not applying for a visa. If both parents are applying for a visa then a copy of the itinerary will be sufficient (with the parents names). This letter does need to be notarized.

Travel Authorization OR Letter from the US Government (applicable for contractors for the US Government)
