Mauritania – Passport and Visa Required

As of October 22, 2014, personal appearance is required by the Embassy of Mauritania.  US citizens have an option of obtaining the visa upon arrival, for a duration of 30 days.

Visa Requirements for U.S. Citizens

TOURIST VISA

• Valid and signed U. S. Passport (valid at least 6 months beyond the date of entry; with at least one blank visa page)  – photocopy is not acceptable
• Two Visa Application Forms completed and signed. The application form must have original signature.
• Two Passport Type Photographs
• International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever
• Copy of your hotel confirmation or reservation
• Clear copy of the passport data page
• Copy of round trip airline tickets or itinerary, or letter of confirmation from travel agent. Applicants for transit visas should also show the right of entry to the next destination(s).
• Sameday Passport Service Order Form

BUSINESS VISA

• Valid and signed U. S. Passport (valid at least 6 months beyond the date of entry; with at least one blank visa page)  – photocopy is not acceptable
• Two Visa Application Forms completed and signed. The application form must have original signature.
• Two Passport Type Photographs
• International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever
• Clear copy of the passport data page
• Copy of round trip airline tickets or itinerary, or letter of confirmation from travel agent.
• Business Letter from U.S. company
• Sameday Passport Service Order Form
